Parental Policy

  • Disciplinary Policy
    • It is important that you review the Metro Kids’ Club Disciplinary Policy so that you know what behavior is to be expected of your child and how our staff will deal with infractions.

  • Child Absence
    • Pickups
      • If your child will be absent from a scheduled school pickup, you have until noon of that day to report their absence to Metro Kids’ Club for it to be considered an excused absence. You will be billed for a fee of $15 for every occurrence of an unexcused absence.
    • Classes
      • Missed classes can be made up, but only within the session that they were missed.
      • Children should attend all rehearsals for performances that they wish to be involved in. A child will not be guaranteed a spot if they do not attend mandatory rehearsals, or if the class instructor feels as if their attendance is inadequate.

  • Billing
    • It is necessary to use a valid credit card for all billing.
      • Each time a card is declined, a $5 service charge will be assessed.
    • If your child is enrolled for afterschool pickups or childcare, and payment is not received on 1st day of the session, you will be advised that in 5 business days, care will terminate. Regular care will continue for those 5 business days, and will terminate on the sixth business day. You will be billed for that week of childcare.
    • If your child is suspended or expelled from Metro Kids’ Club due to a disciplinary infraction, you will still be billed for the purchases that you have already made for the current session.
    • Metro Kids’ Club is not liable for providing refunds for any purchases
    • No refunds or reimbursements will be given for sessions that are missed due to absences, holidays, or otherwise.
  • If you are late for an afterschool pickup, the following charges will be applied to your account:
    • A $10 charge will be assessed if you arrive between 1 and 10 minutes after the scheduled pickup time.
    • An additional fee of $1 will be assessed for every 1 minute that you are late past the 10 minute mark.

  • Programs
    • Classes
      • Trial Classes
        • Trial classes are available for parents who are interested in their children signing up for a Metro Kids’ Club class. These arrangements should be made prior to the actual class to guarantee admittance. Children are limited one trial class.
      • Drop-In Classes
        • Students can drop-in to any class (with open slots) for a fee of $20 per class.
      • Cancellations
        • Metro Kids’ Club reserves the right to cancel any scheduled classes for any reason.
          • Metro Kids’ Club management will notify you immediately if a class that you are enrolled in is cancelled.
          • If you are enrolled in a class that is cancelled, you will be given credit for all unused classes that can be used to pay for other Metro Kids’ Club services.
      • Absences

    • Pickups
      • Afterschool pickups can be purchased for most schools that are within walking distance of a Metro Kids’ Club facility.
      • All children will be transported to a Metro Kids’ Club location on-foot unless otherwise specified.
        • Both a CY 863 Verbal Request for Release of Child and a Metro Kids’ Club Pickup Release Form must be submitted for each child you’d like us to pick up.
      • If your child will be absent from a scheduled school pickup, you have until noon of that day to report their absence to Metro Kids’ Club for it to be considered an excused absence. You will be billed for a fee of $15 for every occurrence of an unexcused absence.

    • PJ Parties
      • Interested parents should RSVP for as soon as possible, as these parties often fill up. Payment for the party needs to be made at the time that you RSVP. Payment will not be refunded if your reservation is cancelled.

  • Preparations
    • Food
      • Metro Kids’ Club provides one snack per day (at 3:30 PM) to afterschool students and two snacks per day (at 10:30 AM and 3:30 PM) to full-day students. You are responsible for packing lunch for your child.
      • Be sure to let our staff know of any food allergies that your child has. This information should also be recorded on CD 51 Child Health Assessment.

    • Clothing
      • It is advised that you pack a spare change of clothes for your child, as Metro Kids’ Club does not keep spare clothing on location.

  • Emergencies
    • As a guardian, you are liable to provide Metro Kids’ Club with accurate and up-to-date contact information for each child that is under your care.
      • You are to notify Metro Kids’ Club immediately if your contact information changes.
    • Metro Kids’ Club is liable to contact you as soon as possible in the event of an emergency.
    • In the event of an emergency, Metro Kids’ Club will operate in accordance with its Emergency Plan.




Please inform us ASAP if you need to make a change to your child's schedule so we can accommodate accordingly.
